The greatest comedians in the world are coming to Vancouver

Comedy is one of the last popular art forms with an edge. A great comedian can change the way people think, cracking open new ways of seeing the world that in turn, creates new possibilities.

Every February, Vancouver hosts Just For Laughs Northwest, a 12-day festival that draws some of the most original – and most hilarious – minds to our city. If you love laughing and being challenged mentally, you must visit our city and queue up for JFL tickets in February.

BILL BURR

Bill Burr comes from Boston, and brings with him a working man’s sensibility and his own unique way of seeing the world. His comedy cuts through the crap, illuminating the common sense that lurks behind the ridiculous nonsense you see day after day on the news. He created and starred in the Netflix animated series F is For Family and recently had a role in Disney’s The Mandalorian. You can catch his two night engagement at Vancouver’s historic Queen Elizabeth Theatre on February 20 and 21.

PATTON OSWALT

Patton Oswalt is a poet of comedy. There are lines in his many stand-up specials that will bowl you over with how literal they are, even as they’re absolutely ridiculous (and sometimes obscene). He’s one of the best comics working in the world these days and he’s overcome tragedy in his personal life only to bounce back even stronger and funnier than ever. When you're laughing with him at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre on February 22, you’re seeing a comic in his prime. Don’t miss him!

MARGARET CHO

Margaret Cho is a landmark comic. One of the first Asian women to start performing stand-up comedy in America, she brought a perspective to the comedic landscape that nobody had ever seen before. She carries that legacy of originality and provocation in her latest tour, “Fresh Off the Bloat” which you can catch at the Vogue Theatre on February 15. The headlining topics are sex, drugs and Donald Trump. A staple of Cho's act, her dead-on impression of her mother, is worth the price of the ticket alone!
